CARE is a leading international humanitarian aid organisation fighting global poverty, with a special focus on working with women and girls to bring lasting change to their communities.

CARE International in Myanmar is expanding its operations to the township of Rathedaung to implement a new project working with farming communities on agricultural production and disaster risk deduction in order to increase their income and improve nutrition. The Project Manager is responsible overseeing the project by planning, monitoring, and evaluating project activities in accordance with the donor agreement and ensures the effective planning and implementation by CARE, as well as its community and government partners.

We are looking for applicants who are interested in working in an exciting and challenging environment with experience in management of large rural livelihoods projects in conflict or post conflict settings. Your experience in leadership and management in a complex international setting, as well as your excellent people management and interpersonal skills will make you an ideal candidate for this role. Your strong capacity building and communication skills, including experience building and managing diverse stakeholder relationships will set you apart from others. A demonstrated understanding of gender equality and women’s empowerment will be highly regarded.
